Many buses were not running today in Yangon

yangon august 15
Many buses were not running today in Yangon morning because of Government-run gasoline stations doubled their prices for petrol and diesel, while prices for compressed natural gas increased five-fold.
bus owners in yangon thoguht this is not reasonable for their business either because they could not afford the increased bus fares or because buses had simply stopped running due to the higher fuel prices.
The disel prices change from 15oo kyats to 3000 kyats per gallon and gasoline moved from 1500 to 25oo,one of the conductor said.
Not only gasoline prices ,compressed natural gas ,abandon natural resources of burma,Increased five time.
"today we have to pay 12000 kyats for four containner ,it is only 2000 kyats in yesterday". the conductor siad.
People who live in outskirt area have been facing the problem for that and they have not get enough buses for transporation.
"I paid nearly double for bus fares when I came to the office but not offically confirmed yet"said office staff who work in down town area.
The decision of raising the fuel prices is seen as being made in line with the rise of world oil prices. The controlled supply quota remains unchanged at two gallons per day per car.
